Striker set for Anfield exit
The BBC are reporting that Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair will leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.
The 19-year-old, who recently scored in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Exeter City in the FA Cup third round is apparently looking to move to Spain, and as such will not sign a new contract with the Reds.
Sinclair left West Bromwich Albion to join Liverpool at the age of 14 and just over a year later, he became the youngest player to play for the Reds’ first team when he came on as a substitute against the Baggies in a League Cup tie.
He made substitute appearances in a couple of games at the end of the 2014-15 season and made his first start in the aforementioned FA Cup game against Exeter.
Stories emerged last week indicating that Sinclair could be sold to a Premier League club during the current transfer window, but it appears that he will now reject such a deal and instead look for a move abroad.
