Liverpool are lining up a shock late move for Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his side’s attacking options at the very end of the January transfer window, according to The Mirror.

Cheryshev is not getting a look in at the moment under new Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, therefore, a move away for the Russian international on the last day of the winter transfer window would come as no surprise.

However, a move to the Premier League was looking highly unlikely until Klopp’s Liverpool have reportedly targeted for a move for the winger.

It is believed that Cheryshev could be available to the Reds for a loan move until the end of the season, and perhaps his arrival means that the Reds are giving up hope of signing Alex Teixeira after Shakhtar Donetsk said they wouldn’t sell the Brazilian for less than his release fee, which is approximately £50million.
