So, January was a bit of an indifferent month for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.
They played a staggering nine games, which is ridiculous in itself!
They won three, lost three (including the Stoke City League Cup game, not sure how to class that), and drew three of those games.
Throughout January, some players did themselves proud and their stock went up while others didn’t perform well and as such, their stock went down.
So, we’ve picked three of each, have a look through and let us know if you agree or disagree on Twitter – @ReadLiverpoolFC.
Up - Joe Allen
So often the cause of frustration for Liverpool fans, Joe Allen did himself no harm in January.
He scored a late equaliser against Arsenal, got himself a goal in the win over Exeter City and scored the penalty that sent the Reds to Wembley.
His performances overall were really good too.
Forza the Welsh Xavi!
Down - Christian Benteke
The big Belgian looks like a square peg in a round hole at the moment.
He’s lost his starting place to Roberto Firmino, has played with the ‘second side’ in the cup games and has really struggled.
His confidence looks shot and it’s tough to see it turning around anytime soon.
Up - Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian got two goals against Arsenal and two against Norwich City, and his overall performances were very good.
He’s claimed the starting role for himself and, after a slow start, has started to show why Liverpool paid so much money for him.
Down - Adam Bogdan
The guy let a goal in off a corner. He has now lost his place on the bench. His career at Liverpool is probably over.
Up - Sheyi Ojo
The youngster only made three substitute appearances but he certainly impressed. He came on at Exeter and helped Liverpool grab a draw, he scored a lovely goal in the replay and showed a bit of promise in the West Ham game too.
The future for Ojo is certainly bright.
Down - Simon Mignolet
Another goalkeeper!
When you concede 11 goals in a month, you probably get on the list!
Now, not all of them were his fault and he did well in the Stoke penalty shootout, but he’s hardly covered himself in glory in other games.
Despite Mignolet signing a new five-year contract, it wouldn’t be a huge shock if Klopp looks for a new keeper in the summer
