The only thing gained from Liverpool’s trip to Leicester City was more confirmation that the Reds are a bit rubbish.
Some individuals were more rubbish than others, as the player ratings will reflect.
Jamie Vardy’s second-half double saw off a Liverpool side who conjured up some decent approach play, but never troubled Kasper Schmeichel.
The omission of Joe Allen was a surprise, and Alberto Moreno is surely close to being dropped after another brainless display.
Simon Mignolet - 5
Couple of timely saves in the first half and not much he could do about either goal. It’s getting boring watching how bad he is with crosses.
Nathaniel Clyne - 5
A bit sloppy in possession but by no means a terrible performance. Was actually pretty good going forward.
Dejan Lovren - 4
Simply couldn’t deal with Jamie Vardy. Not many defenders have managed to this season but you’d expect better from the much-improved Lovren.
Mamadou Sakho - 4
Absolutely loves giving the ball away all of a sudden. Does it far too often. Made a couple of important interceptions throughout the game but it’s schoolboy defending for the second goal.
Alberto Moreno - 4
Not convinced there’s a brain in there. Most frustrating player in the squad. Give Brad Smith a starting berth in the league, Jurgen.
Lucas Leiva - 5
Off the pace. Not the Brazilian’s night as the Foxes swarmed around him with superior speed and energy.
Emre Can - 5
Struggling to recall anything he did particularly well. Needs to be making better decisions; the age excuse is wearing thin.
Jordan Henderson - 4
Doesn’t look anywhere near fit. His surrendering of possession to Danny Drinkwater in the early going set the tone for a difficult night for the skipper.
Adam Lallana - 6
Kept the ball well in some promising advanced areas and posed more of a threat than most in red.
James Milner - 6
Was especially bright in the first period, and carried that form into the second half until the goals killed Liverpool off.
Roberto Firmino - 5
He’ll either score you a couple or do next to nothing. At Leicester it was the latter.

I’d lost interest in the football match by the time the changes were made, but, for good measure:
