Liverpool are interested in signing Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to ESPN.

Sources have reportedly told the news outlet that Jurgen Klopp is keeping tabs on the midfielder with a view to a move this summer.

The 22-year-old’s contract at the Emirates Stadium is set to run out in 2018, and the North London side want to extend that deal.

But his game time has been limited this season, and a move to Anfield where more regular football could be offered may interested the former Southampton man.

Klopp is expected to make mass changes in personnel during what will be the German’s first summer transfer window in charge on Merseyside.

Schalke centre-back Joel Matip has already agreed a move to the club, whilst Mario Gotze has also been linked with a switch that would reunite the Bayern man with his former Dortmund coach.

The addition of the World Cup winner to Liverpool’s roster would surely help any move for ‘the Ox’, who is currently out of action with a knee injury, but Manchester City are also reportedly interested.

Meanwhile, Jose Enrique and Kolo Toure are expected to leave the club when their current deals run out at the end of the season.

Joe Allen, Christian Benteke and Tiago Ilori could also be amongst those included in a mass exodus.
