Liverpool have agreed a deal with Anderlecht to sign 19-year-old midfielder Samuel Bastien, according to a report from Irpinia News, the local outlet in Italy where the player has been on loan.
Fiorentina, Juventus, Palermo and Sporting Lisbon were all apparently interested in signing the young Belgian, but it looks like the Reds have beaten them all to the punch.
Bastien spent last season on loan in Italy with Serie B side Avellino, where he scored twice in 31 appearances.

According to the report, the Reds have agreed to sign the Belgian U21 international for between €5million and €6million.
Anderlecht were reportedly set to keep Bastien as the youngster went on holiday to Spain but his agent Franklin Mala Makani was apparently doing negotiations on his behalf.
If Bastien does join the Reds, it’ll be interesting to see if he goes into the first-team, the academy or out on loan.
