Liverpool sign Sadio Mane
Liverpool have announced the signing of Sadio Mane from Southampton.
The Reds have reportedly paid over £3omillion for the wide man who becomes the latest in a line of players to make the switch from St Mary’s to Anfield, following on from Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne.
The 24-year-old’s best assets are his lightning pace and his eye for goal, although he has been known to be very inconsistent at times.
Mane will get a full pre-season with the Reds, something that Jurgen Klopp wants from the majority of his new players as he looks to implement a fitness regime and a style of play that will hopefully help the Reds challenge at the top of the Premier League table once again.
Mane played 43 games for Southampton last season, scoring 15 goals and was credited with a further nine assists. Liverpool will be hoping he can continue his goalscoring form at Anfield.
