Liverpool consider letting Sakho go out on loan
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is considering letting defender Mamadou Sakho leave on loan in an attempt to get him ready to compete in the first-team once again, as per a report from Chris Bascombe of The Telegraph.
The French defender missed the end of last season due an issue with a positive drugs test, although the suspension for this was overturned upon appeal.
However, things didn’t go smoothly from that point onwards. Sakho was sent home early from Liverpool’s pre-season tour of America as he was reportedly becoming a distraction .
He was later for the flight to the USA and also reported late to a team meal and a training session, and Klopp decided that it would be best if he returned to Melwood as he was unable to play in the games due to injury anyway.
Liverpool are happy to let him go on loan but do not want to sell him permanently as they feel that he could warrant a place in the squad if he can get back on track.
