Sakho was the subject of interest from Premier League duo West Brom and Stoke earlier in the transfer window but rejected moves to both clubs. However, the 26-year-old may be forced to reconsider with under 36 hours left to find a new club.
The Frenchman was sent home from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States by manager Jurgen Klopp after failing to arrive on time for the flight as well as several team meals.
West Brom have enquired again about the possibility of taking Sakho on loan, but it is unknown whether or not they will face competition to sign him.

Any loan deal, however, will not involve an option to buy at the end of the spell, with Klopp keen to review the situation in one year’s time.
Sakho is reluctant to leave but may not have a choice if he wants to play this season.
