Twitter reacts to Liverpool’s win at Derby
Liverpool’s impressive form continued as they powered into the last 16 of the EFL Cup with a comfortable victory 3-0 over Championship strugglers Derby County at the iPro Stadium.
Loris Karius was handed a competitive debut by Jurgen Klopp in a strong Liverpool side, and was rarely tested by a Derby team who have notched just four goals so far this season.
It was Ragnar Klavan who gave the Reds a deserved lead, opening his account for his new club as he fired home from Philippe Coutinho’s corner, before the Brazilian added the second following a neat one-two with Roberto Firmino.
Divock Origi completed a perfect night for the Reds by smashing home the third on 54 minutes, with Emre Can, Danny Ings and young starlet Ovie Ejaria all introduced before full time.
So, what did the Reds fans think of the comprehensive victory? We took to Twitter to find out…
Matt was happy to see debutant Loris Karius keep a clean sheet, and believes he can now challenge for the number one spot.

Our very own Adrian Kamulegeya was delighted to see the Reds’ strong run continue.
Twitter: @ReadLiverpoolFC easy win. Keeps the momentum going after a good run of form. Onto Hull! (@adriankammy)
Nigel, meanwhile, identified the quality of Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho as the key to Liverpool’s dominance.
Twitter: @ReadLiverpoolFC Job done, professionally & clinically. Coutinho & Firmino just too good, picked their way through a minefield of assassains (@IrishRed11)
Leo, meanwhile, was relieved to avoid a cup upset and was pleased to see Origi back on the scoresheet.
Twitter: @ReadLiverpoolFC keeps a run going. Glad that we weren’t a ‘giant killing’ Chuffed for Origi. Onwards and upwards. A cup is a cup. (@leoroberts)
