Mixed news on injury front for Liverpool
There was good news for Liverpool on the injury front as Georginio Wijnaldum returned back to training ahead of the game with West Brom on Saturday.
The Dutchman missed the clash with Manchester United on Monday night with a hip injury and was missed as Emre Can struggled, especially in the first half.
Adam Lallana, who came on against United, seemingly had no ill-effects from his appearance has he too took part in the session.
There were slight injury worries about Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho too, but they both took part in the session.
One notable absence from the session was James Milner. The left-back was taken off late on against United after a clash of heads with Marcus Rashford and, although there’s no official confirmation, it looks like he could still be feeling the effects of that.
Liverpool take on West Brom on Saturday afternoon so there is still time for the stand-in left back to get back into contention, but if he can’t make the game, then Alberto Moreno is the obvious choice to replace him.
