Liverpool rekindle interest in Mario Gotze
Following a summer of relentless ebbing and flowing, which culminated in German midfielder Mario Gotze resigning for former club Borussia Dortmund, you would have been forgiven for thinking the saga had drawn to an end.
However, according to reports in the Mirror, talks are once again happening between Liverpool and the 2014 World Cup winner.
The 24-year-old moved back to Dortmund for £20 million, but has struggled to get regular first team football under Thomas Tuchel. With just 11 appearances since his return in the summer, Gotze may be longing to be reunited with his old manager.
Perhaps sensing an opportunity, Jürgen Klopp is set to reignite his interest in the former Bundesliga young player of the year.
Goats has been accused of lacking professionalism in terms of keeping his body in shape and keeping himself at peak condition so if he does sign, Klopp and his staff will need to get him in shape, something they have a track record in doing.
