Adam Lallana signs new Liverpool contract
England international and Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has signed a new three-year contract at Anfield.
The deal is understood to be worth £110,000 per week, with Liverpool having the option to extend the midfielder’s contract to a fourth year.
The-28-year-old, who joined the Reds for a fee of £25m from Southampton in 2014, had two years left to run on the five-year contract he signed at the time.
The midfielder has been crucial to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side this season, with the 28-year-old making 27 appearances, scoring a total of seven goals.
Speaking to the official Liverpool website about his new contract, the 28-year-old said:
I’m very proud and feel quite humbled by the show of faith from the club and the manager in particular.”Signing for a club like Liverpool is obviously a big thing – but to re-sign shows you’ve obviously contributed enough that the people who make the decisions want you to stay longer.
