What a way to get back to winning ways!

Liverpool when on form are a dangerous prospect for any team in the league, especially against the top six, and they proved that again on Saturday by smashing Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield to put the Reds back in the top four.

With Alexis Sanchez starting on the bench for unknown reasons, there was a small sense of optimism from the Liverpool camp that this could be something to take advantage of – and the players did exactly that.

From the first minute, Jürgen Klopp’s team were at it, pressing and harrying the Arsenal midfield and backline and causing mistakes. Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané got the goals in the first half before Sanchez came on and caused the Reds a bit of trouble. The pressure was on but a late goal sealed from Georginio Wijnaldum ensured that all three points stayed on Merseyside.
