Liverpool have won the race to sign Fulham’s 16-year-old left-back Ryan Sessegnon, according to Dimitri Kondonis of Yahoo Sports.

The teenager was apparently a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham but Yahoo say that sources have informed them that the teenager has agreed to join Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer.

Despite his young age, Sessegnon has been a regular feature in the Fulham side, making 23 appearances, in which he’s scored two goals.

He hit the headlines last weekend when he bagged a brace at promotion-chasing Fulham won at St James’ Park and it looks like he could soon be swapping the white shirt of Fulham for the red shirt of Liverpool.

Liverpool’s need for a left-back is obvious with James Milner currently the starter and Alberto Moreno the back-up.

It would be a huge ask for Sessegnon to come in and start straight away but Liverpool will be delighted to sign one of the most talked about young players in the country if the deal does get confirmed.
