Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Brazilian midfielder Anderson Talisca, who is currently on loan at Turkish side, Besiktas.

According to Italian outlet, Calcio Mercato, who quote O Jogo, Liverpool want to sign the player but face competition from Lazio for the Brazilian.

The Reds are thought to be aware of Lazio’s interest in the player who has scored nine goals already this season. As well as that, he has also registered five assists.

Lazio are preparing to sell star names such as Keita Balde and Stefan de Vrij in order to raise the funds to sign the Brazilian in the summer.

Talisca was linked with a summer move to Championship side Wolves as part of their connection with Jorge Mendes and Benfica, but they opted to sign Helder Costa and Talisca moved on loan to Besiktas.

The attacker is set to return to his parent club at the end of the season but may well move on after his fine performances this season.
