According to Goal, Kalidou Koulibaly is on Liverpool list of targets for a defender in the summer.
The Reds are short on centre halves, with Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan being the only players at their disposal in that position and, with a lack of top quality in those defenders, they will make signing a centre back a priority in the next transfer window in the summer.
Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk is also on the radar for the Reds but as the Dutchman signed a new six-year contract last year, the Saints will only accept offers higher than £55 million.
Koulibaly has impressed for Italian side Napoli since joining in 2014. The Senegalese star has arguably become one of the best centre halves in Italy.
Koulibaly would likely suit the Premier League with his tall, strong and physical attributes, and it looks like the defender could be heading to Merseyside this summer.
