Liverpool face defensive crisis ahead of Crystal Palace clash
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is facing a bit of an injury crisis at centre-back as Liverpool prepare to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Lucas Leiva have all been absent from training and whilst the trio have not been ruled out at this stage, there is a very good chance that all three will be unavailable for selection.
Klopp told reporters at his press conference that Joe Gomez is currently in line to start the game, one which Liverpool will be desperate to win as they look to secure a place in the Champions League next season.
Palace have been in decent form recently with their front three of Andros Townsend, Wilfried Zaha and former Red Christian Benteke all starting to click as the Eagles look to secure their place in the top-flight.
Gomez has played just three games for Liverpool this season; the two FA Cup games with Plymouth and the loss to Wolves in the same competition.
