Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon has been identified by Liverpool as their top left-back target this summer as they look to find a replacement for Alberto Moreno, who looks certain to leave.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Moreno’s time at Anfield will come to and end this sumeer as the Reds will look to get back the £12million that they paid to sign him from Sevilla in 2014.
The Reds have been linked with a number of left-backs in recent weeks, including Hull City’s Andy Robertson, but James Pearce of the Echo believes that it is Sessegnon, who turned 17-years-old today, who is the number one target.
Fulham’s promotion hopes ended after a 1-0 loss to Reading earlier this week and if the Reds are willing to stump up the £10million that it will reportedly take to get the left-back, there is a good chance that he’ll be a Liverpool player in the very near future.
His arrival would suggest that James Milner will remain as first-choice, but Jurgen Klopp would have a player he can trust as the backup.
