Arsenal ready to sell Liverpool target Chamberlain
Liverpool have been reportedly chasing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for a number of months now but they have received a boost in their pursuit of the Arsenal winger.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are now ready to offload the England international this summer in a bid to trim their wage bill.
With the Premier League introducing new cost control measures, Arsenal are keen to shrink their expenditure on player wages and Oxlade-Chamberlain is one of the most likely candidates to face the axe.
The two parties had been in talks over a new contract at the Emirates but there’s been no positive movement on this ground for some time.
With his deal up next summer, the Gunners are now ready to cash-in on the versatile midfielder, with Liverpool ready to make their move.
It’s believed that Liverpool are likely to sign the winger in a £25m deal this summer, fending off interest from Chelsea.
