Serie A club Juventus are ready to submit a €25m bid for German midfielder Emre Can despite recent reports of his talks with Liverpool over a contract extension at the club, according to a report from reports in Italy.
The Merseyside club have reportedly opened talks with the midfielder over a new and improved contract as he only has 12 months remaining on his current deal.
The midfielder is said to be keeping his options open as he faces a big decision in his career.
This has kept Juventus on full alert and the Italian giants are ready to cast further doubt on Can’s future by submitting a bid.
The Reds are keen to hold on to the German international and are not ready to open negotiations with the Turin club unless Can openly states that he wants to move and refuses to sign a new deal.
The 23-year-old has been given an extended break by manager Jurgen Klopp after winning the Confederations Cup with Germany in Russia.
Liverpool are hoping that Can will put pen to paper and sign a new long-term contract at the club but Juventus are seemingly prepared to muddy the waters.
