German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig now want to sell midfielder Naby Keita as Premier League club Liverpool prepare a fresh bid this week following their £57m offer which was rejected, according to a report on the Express.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol said on Sky Sports News that RB Leipzig officials have now decided that they will allow Keita to leave the club this summer.
This comes after the Guinea international midfielder told the club that he wants to move to Liverpool in this summer’s transfer window and it seems that the club have granted him his wish.
Liverpool will now prepare to submit a new and improved bid of more than £60m in the coming days.
The 22-year-old midfielder is Jurgen Klopp’s number one target this summer after having already secured the signing of Mohamed Salah from AS Roma for a club record fee.
Keita was a key figure for Leipzig on their way to finishing as runners up in the Bundesliga but is now ready to make a big money move to Merseyside.
Keita managed to get his name on the scoresheet eight times in the German top flight last season and also registered seven assists in the same competition.
