VIDEO: Liverpool set to end pursuit of Keita this summer
Liverpool are set to put their interest in Naby Keita on hold until next summer, reports Chris Bascombe of the Telegraph.
The Reds have seen £57m and £66m bids rejected by RB Leipzig and are now not confident that they can sign the Guinean.
Keita’s release clause will be £48m next season, and whilst Bascombe says Liverpool are confident of landing him then, the door will also be open for other clubs to swoop in.
The below video talks through what might be next for Liverpool, and also gives an update on the Virgil van Dijk situation.

It would have been a club record deal for the Reds if they were able to convince the Bundesliga side to part ways with Keita, but the Red Bull-owned outfit have remained firm throughout and insisted that the 22-year-old is not for sale.
Keita made 31 appearances in the German league last season, scoring eight goals as Leipzig finished in second place, 15 points behind champions Bayern Munich.
Liverpool could still break their transfer record again this summer with James Pearce claiming that they will go back in for van Dijk if Southampton indicate that they are willing to listen to offers.
