Liverpool eye January move for Ezri Konsa
Liverpool are lining up a January move for Charlton Athletic defender Ezri Konsa, according to a report from Tom Hopkinson of the Mirror.
The Reds will need to battle Everton for the 19-year-old centre back as the Blues are also keen to continue their strategy of buying some of the country’s best youngsters.
The teenager has been at Charlton since he was a schoolboy and the Addicks will be keen to keep hold of him but it’s looking more and more likely that he’ll leave.
Konsa was part of England Under-20s’ World Cup-winning squad, alongside current Reds striker Dominic Solanke and he’s being eyed up by a number of sides.
Liverpool signed Joe Gomez from Charlton and it looks like they could go back to the London-based side as they look to bring in another youngster.
