Juventus will not move for German midfielder Emre Can in the January transfer window, as they feel that Liverpool will not be willing to sell him.
This comes straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, as Juventus’ chief executive Beppe Marotta discussed the Old Lady‘s transfer plans for the near future (via the Independent):
We don’t think we are going to make a big signing in January

We have faith in this team and in these lads. As for Emre Can I don’t think Liverpool will sell him in January.
Can joined Liverpool from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 after just one season with them; he had previously been at Bayern Munich, where he made seven appearances after coming through from their second team.
The German international midfielder has now made 132 appearances for the Reds since his move three years ago, scoring ten goals, including two in three appearances so far this season.

Marotta confirmed that Juventus made a bid for Can during the last transfer window:
We made an offer for him in the summer but the Reds didn’t sell him so I don’t think they’ll change their mind in the middle of the season.
Can, 23, was not part of the Germany squad which won the World Cup in 2014 but did win the Confederations Cup with his country earlier this year and is one of a host of midfielders vying for a place in his national team’s squad for the next World Cup, which takes place in Russia next summer.
