Emre Can sets his sights on Manchester City
Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has reportedly identified Manchester City as his ideal destination next summer.
According to a report from the Daily Star, the German international is enthused by the prospect of playing for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and is willing to turn down Juventus in order to make the move to the Etihad Stadium.
Contract negotiations between Liverpool and Can have not progressed, and it’s looking increasingly likely that the former Bayer Leverkusen man will move on when his deal expires in the summer.
Can has been courted by a number of clubs across Europe. However, it looks as though City, who have been linked with him in recent times, are at the front of the queue.
The promising midfielder has been inconsistent for Liverpool since his arrival, but has undoubted promise and is sure to be met with many potential suitors at the expiration of his deal.
Jurgen Klopp reportedly remains hopeful that Can will pen a new deal at the club.
