According to ESPN, Liverpool left-back, Andrew Roberton, has been told by Jurgen Klopp that he is still part of the German’s plans, despite only making three appearances for the club since joining from Hull in the summer.

Robertson explained his frustration to Klopp, who reassured him if he kept working hard in training that he will find his way into the starting XI, especially with the busy Christmas period ahead of us.

The Scotsman was meant to be a replacement for Alberto Moreno, but the Spaniard has performed very well this season and has kept Robertson out of the starting XI during most of this season.

Robertson had this to say about the situation

Of course it’s difficult. I don’t make any secret of it, I hate not playing, It’s been a very frustrating three months for me, but I spoke to the manager as I felt as if the settling-in period was over and thought I was ready to play. I felt I did myself justice in the games I did play, so I had a good chat with him. He gave me a few points to work on, so that’s kept me going. I know I’m still in his plans and, if I work on the things he’s asked me to, hopefully I’ll be in the first team or closer to it.
