Coutinho explains why he and Salah work so well
Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has revealed the reason behind his and Mohamed Salah’s growing Reds partnership, in a report on the club’s official website.
Coutinho has looked to be back to his best in recent weeks and has found an on-field relationship with Salah that has left many Liverpool fans excited.
Salah, 25, has found the back of the net 14 times in his first 19 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, with Coutinho teeing Salah up for his second against Southampton on the weekend.
Talking ahead of Saturday evening’s fixture against Chelsea, Coutinho revealed the reason why they’ve had lots of success so far this campaign.
It’s his movement, he’s a very quick player and he’s always trying to move so that he can get into empty space and that makes it easier for whoever has the ball, I always say that.
Salah looks set to line up against his former employers at Anfield, and Brazilian Coutinho has heaped praise on the Egyptian’s impact so far.
He’s a great player. Everyone – us and the fans – have been really impressed with the way he’s settled in here, the way he’s adapted to the team in a new country. Everything is fully deserved, he’s a great bloke, he always trains hard and he’s there when we need him – that is good for Liverpool.
