Ojo still sees long-term future at Liverpool
Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo still sees his long-term future at Liverpool but has admitted his only focus this season is helping Fulham’s push for the Premier League, the Liverpool Echo report.
On-loan Fulham winger Ojo returned from a dislocated shoulder he suffered in September with a fine two-goal display in a dramatic 5-4 win over high flying Sheffield United on Tuesday.
Rumoured Liverpool target Ryan Sessegnon scored a hat trick in the same game, with Ojo supplying Sessegnon’s second as the youngsters do the business for the Cottagers.
Ojo, 20, admits he is loving his time on loan in the Championship, however, wants to return to Anfield next season and force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans.
Speaking to the media after his stellar performance against Sheffield United, Ojo said:
My aims now? To have a good solid season under my belt [that] will put me in a good position next season to be playing for Liverpool, I am looking to build on that display against Sheffield. The main reason I came here was to enjoy my football and get as much game time as I can and help us with that main aim of getting promotion.
