Leipzig are open to letting Naby Keita joining Liverpool in the January transfer window.

According to German outlet Kicker, Liverpool have a chance to bring Keita to England six months earlier than expected.

Liverpool agreed a £55m deal to sign Keita from Leipzig at the end of the current season, though Jurgen Klopp now wants Keita for the second half of the season.

Philippe Coutinho joining Barcelona for £142m has changed Liverpool’s plans, as they now want the midfielder to replace Coutinho at Anfield.

Reports earlier this month claimed that Leipzig were not interested in letting Keita leave at all, with Kicker now claiming they will sell for the right price.

Liverpool will have to pay a sizable premium to complete the deal six months earlier than contracted.

Keita has scored five goals in 20 games for Leipzig this season and is seen as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe.

He is also said to be keen on moving to Liverpool this month.
