Liverpool are ready to reward Roberto Firmino with a new and improved contract at the club, Paul Joyce reports for the Times.
The Brazilian international has been excellent for the Reds this season and it seems he will be rewarded for his efforts with the chance to extend his stay at Anfield.
Firmino is held in high esteem by those at the club and following the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in recent times, Liverpool want to ensure that they tie their best players down to improved, longer contracts.
The former Hoffenheim man has been extremely successful since his move to Merseyside and he is now a truly important player for the Reds. He’ll be hoping that his goals and creativity can contribute to Liverpool enjoying a strong end to the season.
Firmino has netted 15 times for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season in all competitions. He has also contributed with a total of seven assists from the front.
