Liverpool could look to former player and current Milan star Suso as a potential Philippe Coutinho replacement, reports Calciomercato.com.
The 24-year old Spaniard left for Milan in January 2015 for a small compensation fee, and could now potentially return to Anfield for around £45million.
Initially signed by Brendan Rodgers in 2012, Suso struggled to make an impact with the club, and was ironically pushed further down the pecking order following Coutinho’s signing.
Now, three years on, the 24-year old could come in to replace the very man who pushed him out of the club.
Since signing for the Rossoneri, Suso has established himself as a key player for the Italian club. He signed a new contract with the club in September which set his release clause at around £45million, and Liverpool would certainly have more than enough cash to get the deal done, with Coutinho departing for £142million.
It is reported though that Riyad Mahrez is still the Reds’ number one target, while Thomas Lemar is another on Jurgen Klopp’s radar.
Tottenham are also believed to be interested in securing Suso’s services.
