Liverpool suffer set-back in convincing Can to stay
Liverpool have suffered a set-back in their attempts to convince Emre Can to stay at Anfield, with Juventus growing in confidence of signing the German midfielder, according to the Mirror.
The Bianconeri sent a delegation to watch Can in action last weekend and have reportedly made him a huge offer to move to the Serie A when his contract expires next summer.
The 24-year old Germany international can already signed a pre-contract deal with foreign clubs, but the Reds’ haven’t yet given up hope of convincing him to stay on Merseyside.
However, Juve are confident of getting a deal done, with the club able to offer him mega money to convince him with the club not needing to pay a transfer fee.
Meanhwile Mohamed Salah has insisted he is happy at Liverpool, despite talk of a Real Madrid move picking up pace.
Salah has had unparalleled success this season, scoring 28 goals in 34 appearances since signing from Roma in the summer.
Salah’s stunning goalscoring form in his debut campaign at Anfield – in which he’s hit 28 goals in 34 appearances – has stoked talk of Los Blancos making a move for the Egyptian, but in an interview with Spanish publication Marca he has once again indicated his desire to stay with the Reds.
The forward – who stated that he’s in the best moment of his career – did however express his admiration for La Liga.
When pressed if he’d like to play in Spain one day, he said;
At the moment I am here. I want to concentrate on my team and finish the season very well.
