Liverpool will not fly back to England following Wednesday’s Champions League Last 16 tie with FC Porto as they are heading to Spain for some warm weather training.
The Reds do not have a game at the weekend due to their shock FA Cup exit to West Brom earlier this month, so they are making the most of the time off by heading to Marbella on Thursday for a four-day training camp.
The Reds will return to Melwood at the start of next week to begin preparations for the home game against West Ham on Saturday February 24th.
Nathaniel Clyne, who hasn’t seen the field at all in a competitive game this season, will travel with the Reds to the camp as he steps up his recovery programme.
Clyne hasn’t been seen in a Liverpool shirt since pre-season but has been named in the club’s Champions League squad for the knockout stages.
