Firmino enjoying his football at Liverpool

Roberto Firmino is loving life at Liverpool and has admitted that he feels he is playing his best football since his arrival at Anfield.

Speaking to SporTV, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, the Brazilian international expressed his happiness with how the club is progressing. He also alluded to how he feels he is in the best “phase” he has been in since moving from Hoffenheim.

The moment we live here [at Liverpool] is very good in the Champions League, and also the Premier League. So yes, I would say it is my best phase here.

Firmino has been sensational for the Reds this season and has demonstrated just how key he is to how Jurgen Klopp sets his side out. He has formed a deadly partnership with both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, contributing to Liverpool’s free-scoring ways this term.

The versatile attacker’s form has not gone unnoticed on an international level, either. Brazil boss Tite is set to include Firmino in his squad for the 2018 World Cup at the end of the season.

Firmino admitted that he would be honoured to represented his country in Russia this summer.

It is very gratifying to know that [Tite] will count on me, as I see in the media, but for me, I just await the call.

If I do not continue doing my job here at Liverpool, [I won’t be called up]. I just keep doing what I am doing. I just want to think about now, not tomorrow.
