Andy Hughes, Liverpool’s chief operating officer, has confirmed that the club are looking into the possibility of renovating the Anfield Road End at Anfield.
Having done a great job with the new Main Stand, Liverpool are now looking at increasing their match day capacity even further by revamping the smallest stand they currently have.
Demand for tickets still far outweighs the supply that Liverpool can offer, such is the size of the club’s fanbase, so expanding the size of the stadium does make sense.
Via a statement on the club’s official website, Hunter confirmed that the club have enlisted the help of an architect to discuss expanding the stand.

It read as follows:
We continue to work up design, capacity and economic viability options for Anfield Road working with an architect to help with that process. This follows the same comprehensive process we followed with the Main Stand expansion.
It was reported by the This Is Anfield fan site earlier that plans were in place already to revamp the Anfield Road End at it looks like it could be a matter of time before those plans are confirmed.
