Liverpool have been linked with a move for Roma goalkeeper Alisson for a few months and despite reports in the UK suggesting that they had cooled their interest, journalists in Italy and Brazil have claimed that the Reds are still keen to sign the 25-year-old.
If that is the case, their chances of signing Alisson could be increased as Roma have, according to reports in France, begun scouting his potential replacement,
L’Equipe say that the Serie A giants are keeping a close eye on Toulouse’s Alban Lafont.
The 19-year-old is seen as one of Europe’s brightest goalkeeping talents and Roma are said to be interested in signing him this summer.
It’s unlikely that they’d spend what would likely have to be a sizeable fee to get Lafont without selling Alisson first, although it’s not just Liverpool being linked with the Brazilian number one.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid are all reportedly interest in him, although a move to Liverpool is said to be his preferred option.
