Liverpool given boost in bid to sign Jorginho
Liverpool have often been scuppered in the transfer market as clubs who they wish to purchase players from won’t sell without having a replacement in the door.
So, the news that Napoli have apparently agreed to sign midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria should come as a boost to the Reds, who have their eye on Jorginho.
Liverpool look to be in the market for a player who can play in the deepest role of their midfield three as Jordan Henderson’s injury record has been poor in recent months, whilst Emre Can looks like he’ll be leaving the club.
Italian international Jorginho is the man being tipped to fill the void in Jurgen Klopp’s squad and with Napoli forking out around €25m to sign Torreira, they could well be preparing to cash in on their star midfielder.
Liverpool would likely need to pay around £50m to get the 26-year-old and by all accounts, they will be willing to splash the cash to get him.
