Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward was omitted from the Wales squad that will travel to China this weekend as his passport was lost in the post.
Ward had sent the document off when he applied for a visa to make the trip to play in the China Cup, but it went missing and he’s yet to receive itm or his visa.

The issue meant that Ryan Giggs couldn’t select Ward as he picked his first squad as the Wales national team manager. Ward would almost certainly have made the trip and would have been competing with Wayne Hennessey for the starting role, but the issue means he now doesn’t get the chance to impress the new manager.
Liverpool duo Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson have been included in the squad and will be hoping to get some minutes on the field as Wales face China next Thursday, then either Uruguay or Czech Republic the following Monday.
