Napoli make £30m bid to Roma for Liverpool target Alisson
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Roma goalkeeper Alisson for a few weeks now, but another team has tried to hijack any possible deal.
Serie A side Napoli made an offer of £30million with a further £5million in add ons to Roma for the Brazilian shot stopper, but it was rejected immediately.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are holding out for bids of around £80million for the 25-year-old, which probably prices Liverpool out of a move for him.
The Reds apparently cooled their interest in the Brazilian after hearing Roma’s demands, and this report backs up the fact that the Serie A side are asking for a huge fee.
Napoli are in the market for a new keeper as former Liverpool star Pepe Reina is leaving them in the summer, but they’ll need to significantly up their offer if they want Alisson.
As for Liverpool, they’ll either have to try to negotiate a lower fee or look elsewhere as they look to sign a new ‘keeper in the summer.
