Roma have warned off interest in Alisson from Liverpool and Real Madrid by confirming they’re not thinking about selling their star players this summer.
Speaking to Radio Rai, as confirmed by the Metro, Roma CEO Umberto Gandini played down suggestions that the likes of Alisson could leave the club this summer.
We are not thinking about selling our best players. Right now we are living a very important phase of our season. This club have always changed many players to improve. The transfer window is dynamic, there big teams that change their identity to improve and not for economical reasons.
The Brazilian is one of several Roma stars attracting interest around Europe after several impressive performances in Serie A.
Jurgen Klopp had reportedly shortlisted the player as a potential replacement for either Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius this summer.
The Liverpool boss has been changing between the two this season as he struggles to find his preferred number one.
Karius has held down a place in the starting XI in recent weeks, however, that has not stopped suggestions of a move for Alisson this summer.
Real Madrid have also considered the £60 million-rated goalkeeper as a replacement for Keylor Navas.
