Liverpool players given the week off as staff go to Tenerife
Jurgen Klopp has told his players who do not have international duties to attend to this week to have some time off after deciding against taking them for warm-weather training.
Klopp has decided to spend his free week to relax with his staff in Tenerife.
Klopp has 16 of his players away on international duty, which is significantly more than the previous two March international breaks whilst he has been at Liverpool, so decided to give his depleted squad a rest.
The list of players include Loris Karius, Danny Ward, Alberto Moreno, Nathaniel Clyne, Joel Matip, James Milner and Danny Ings.
The squad will return to the training ground next week ahead of their Premier League game against Crystal Palace, a match where the Reds could get closer to consolidating a top four place.
It also serves as an opportunity for Palace to make it two victories in succession to further improve their survival chances.
