Atlético Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has admitted he isn’t sure whether he will be with the club next season, amid Premier League interest.
The Slovenia international is contracted to the club until 2021, but has been linked away from the Spanish capital, despite having a pricy £88million release clause.
Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Liverpool are three of the clubs most recently to have been linked with the 25-year old ‘keeper, who is regarded as one of the best in his position in world football.
While Atlético would be in no rush to see their first-choice shot-stopper depart from the Wanda Metropolitano, Oblak himself was less coy on his future, opening up while on international duty. Oblak spoke to Slovenian outlet Ekipa, saying;
It is difficult to talk about what will happen tomorrow, more difficult to say what will happen next season.
About a new contract at Atlético I can only tell you one thing – there is nothing new.
That is the only certain thing.
I know there have been many things written about how everything is agreed, and also the other way saying there will be no new contract.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is believed to have a new goalkeeper high up on his summer wish list, with neither Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet impressing enough this season.
Roma’s Alisson is another player who has been linked with a summer switch to Anfield.
