Liverpool set to expand Anfield Road End stand
Liverpool look set to expand Anfield to a 60,000 capacity stadium as they have already begun searching for sponsors for a new and improved Anfield Road End stand.
As reported by Mike Keegan of the Mail, the Reds are already in talks with a number of different parties about sponsoring the new stand, and they have until September 2019 to submit detailed plans for the development, as they gained planning permission to expand the stadium further when the new Main Stand was built.
Liverpool are looking to push ahead with the plans before then, with a view to getting the ball rolling this summer as the increased revenues provided by the Main Stand have shown that it would be a worthwhile investment.
Demand for tickets at Anfield always outweighs the supply that Liverpool have to offer so the expansion will be welcome news for supporters, especially those still on the club’s season ticket waiting list.
