Liverpool are still interested in signing FC Koln left-back Jonas Hector, according to reports in Germany.
The Reds were linked with a move for the 27-year-old last summer but a move never materialised as Liverpool signed Andrew Robertson for Hull City.
Robertson has been a revelation for the Reds and has firmly made the left-back spot his own, which has led to speculation that Alberto Moreno will be sold this summer. If that is the case, then the Reds would need a second left-back option, hence the interest in Hector.

However, it is unlikely that the German international would move to Liverpool without assurances that he’d be first choice.
The likes of Bayren Munich and Juventus are also being linked with Hector, both of whom are likely to have starting roles available due to player sales, so he’s probably more likely to go there.
However, with a release clause of just €8million if Koln are relegated this season – they’re currently five points away from safety with seven games remaining – Liverpool would be foolish to not at least give Hector the option of a move to Anfield.
