Real Madrid not pursuing a summer move for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, according to Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague.
There have been a lot of stories in the past few weeks regarding interest in Salah from the reigning European Champions but Balague believes that they have their eyes firmly set on two other targets.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Balague said that Madrid have identifed Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard as the players they want to bring in this summer, meaning they are not looking to sign Salah.

He said:
Salah is a difficult one because Real Madrid have no mention of him as a candidate to be a Galactico,. You can think there is a market in Egypt and he is a star of the Premier League – he has a lot of things to go for him – but if they get Hazard they won’t need Salah. It seems like they wouldn’t put that much money into Salah.
Salah has been in phenomenal form for Liverpool this season. He’s scored 36 goals in 41 games and looks to be the favourite for the Premier League’s Golden Boot, so it’s been no surprise to see him linked elsewhere.
However, Liverpool are keen to remove the perception that they are a selling club and in order to do so, they have already made it clear that Salah isn’t for sale.
