Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has been forced off in Scotland’s friendly clash with Hungary this evening.
The left-back started in Alex McLeish’s side’s game away in Budapest but saw his evening cut short as he was withdrawn after 66 minutes. It’s thought that the reason for the substitution was due to the defender picking up a knock, with a dead leg appearing to be the issue.
Although it’s believed that the decision to bring Robertson off is one based on precautionary measures, the knock will come as a concern for Liverpool as they gear up for a crucial period in the Premier League.

They have already been dealt a couple of injury blows in the ongoing international break. Emre Can was forced to withdraw from the Germany squad due to a long-standing back issue, while Joe Gomez also suffered a blow to his ankle with England. He will miss a month of action, leaving Liverpool short at right-back.
Robertson’s injury and its severity is unknown at this stage but the Reds will be desperate to have him available for their clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.
