Emre Can remains a huge doubt as Liverpool prepare to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
Can, who scored for the Reds when they won 4-2 at Palace last year, was forced off with a back injury during the first half of the 5-0 win over Watford two weeks ago and that injury is still preventing him from training.

There was hope that the midfielder would be fit for this game when he was called up to the German national squad for their two recent friendly games, but he was sent home early to continue getting treatment on his back as he was deemed unfit to play.
Can has been a mainstay in the Liverpool team this season, featuring in 37 games this season, in which he’s scored six goals.
Liverpool do have a lot of midfield options to choose from in Can’s absence as the rest of the squad, bar the injured Joe Gomez, trained as normal at Melwood on Thursday.
