Solanke frustrated with game time but still in high spirits

Liverpool and World Cup winner Dominic Solanke spoke out about his life on Merseyside this week, with the 20-year-old admitting his frustration at the lack of first-team football under Klopp.

Despite this, the Striker remains in high spirits, even though he has struggled to break into the first team since his arrival from Chelsea.

The plan for Solanke this season was to be a frequent starter at Anfield, but the exploits of the likes of Firmino, Salah & Mane, has prevented a breakthrough for the youngster, with the trio being in sensational form this campaign.

He said, when speaking to ESPN

Being at LIverpool there’s a lot of competition and there are going to be tough times. There are crazy players at Liverpool, especially in my position, and im definitely learnt a lot.

You always have to take the postives and we are doing well at the moment. The front players have been phenomenal, it’s a good lesson.

Mo is on fire, i’m so happy for him and he unstoppable, it’s helping us a lot.

It’s always frustrating when you’re not playing, but im enjoying it at Liverpool, you can say it’s different to Chelsea.

However, Solanke is regarded as a hot prospect for the future and was tied down to a five-year contract when arriving from Stamford Bridge in the Summer, so Klopp will be keen on having the striker around to watch his anticipated development.
