According to the Express, the Roma president has given Liverpool’s transfer hopes for Alisson a blow with a recent update on his future.

Liverpool and Roma face each-other in the Champions League semi-finals next week and with Liverpool being heavily linked with Roma’s Alisson, Roma president has dismissed claims ahead of their clash.

Alisson has had a huge part to play in Roma’s domestic and European success this season, and with Liverpool still yet to figure out their goalkeeping situation, Alisson would be a great signing for them.

Roma’s president, James Pallotta, had this to say about Alisson’s future

I don’t understand why people keep asking me if Alisson will be our goalkeeper next season, we have no intention of selling him. No chance.

We thought he was a great goalkeeper when we signed him and there is no way we are selling.

If Roma were to sell then an upwards of a £50m bid would have to be placed by Liverpool.
